Soli Hughes to Give Free Concert at NPHS

Soli Hughes, a well–known Twin Cities musician who served as an "Artist in Residence" at New Prague Middle School this past spring, will give a free concert on Friday, May 28, from 7–8:30 p.m. at the New Prague High School Auditorium. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Hughes has played across the world with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Oscar Peterson, The Jackson Five, B.B. King, and more. He is a member of the group, "Moore by Four" and has done numerous local recording sessions. The concert will include some selections featuring students from the middle school with whom Hughes worked this spring. This free concert is sponsored by the New Prague Arts Council, New Prague Community Education and the New Prague Schools. Partial funding comes from a Blandin Foundation grant for Rural Arts Initiatives.
